Our History
The story of Arcos begins in 1734 in Albacete, Spain, when Juan de Arcos crafted his first pair of scissors. That original piece is now preserved in the Museum of Cutlery of Albacete.
In 1875, Gregorio Arcos Aroca transformed his small workshop into a production factory, beginning the industrialization of knife making in Spain. A century later, Gregorio Arcos Villanueva launched the company's international expansion.
Today, Arcos is one of the world's leading knife manufacturers, exporting to over 60 countries. We combine nearly three centuries of artisan tradition with modern manufacturing technology, producing over 20 million pieces annually from our factory in Albacete.
Every Arcos knife carries the heritage of generations of master craftsmen, the precision of cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to quality that has defined our brand since 1734.
